Shanghai Research Institute of Materials

Shanghai Research Institute of Materials (SRIM), founded in 1946, was formerly attached to the Ministry of Machinery Industry of the People’s Republic of China. Since 1999, SRIM has been transformed into an enterprise attached to Shanghai Municipal People's Government. And now it is a member of China Machinery Industry Federation (CMIF) and Shanghai Academy of Science and Technology (SAST), and also is the technical support for materials technology and materials testing of CMIF in the field of machinery industry in China.
